When you are faced with a challenge think positively. Don’t think the world is against you.  In difficult times have a realistic thought. Tell yourself this is not the end for me, this time will come and go and that your present situation does not determine your future.

2. Don’t blame yourself when bad things happen.

Either you are careful or not, some things are bound to happen and when it happens, never blame yourself. The more you blame yourself, the more it causes you more pains and agony.  When you make a mistake don’t see it as a result of your stupidity but rather think about what causes you to make such a mistake.

For example, you did defense and you couldn’t answer some questions correctly which you know the correct answer. You felt bad, terribly bad, and started blaming yourself. This will cause you more pain, but rather think positively about why you couldn’t answer the questions correctly.

It can be that you are under pressure, or you are tense or you have some family problems that affected your reasoning. Rather than blaming yourself, look at what causes it to happen and work on it and I am sure. The next one will be much better.

3. Think more about the future.

While trying to build your psychological resilience, you need to have a good mindset and hope about the future. Doing this will assist you in being more resilient and better adapted to face the uncertainties of life.

In simple terms, put the present situation behind you and see it as something that will pass. Go out and take fresh air, look ahead of where you are and what you are facing. With this, you can wad off depression and depressive thoughts.

4. Find purpose in a difficult and traumatic time.

Finding purpose in trying time is really important. Some situation happens to open your eye to another dimension of life. Some event happens to open your eye and help you find opportunities in life.

Learning from your current situation and trying to help others in order not to fall into the trap you are in will have a good impact on building your resilience and finding purpose can help you recover quickly.

There are some situations you cannot overcome on your own but you can through the help of others. Seeking help always helps in building resilience.
